DR TIM LITTLE

BDS Otago | Dentist

Tim has been highly involved in the Auckland Dental Association, serving in the past as President for a year. He continues his involvement by supporting the current President and executive committee. His experience has also meant he was called on to assist the chairman on the Peer Review committee. Tim is now involved with the Dental Council and Health and Disability helping to resolve Dental complaints.

He is also a foundation member of the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and also has a keen interest in continuing with further education on implant surgery. Outside interests includes spending time with his family and their three children. He is a keen skier and in the summer month windsurfs, cycles and supports his kids with their sailing and rowing.

DR VICTOR YOUNG

BDS Otago | Dentist

Victor graduated from the University or Otago in 1985 and has been a partner at Avondale Dental since 1990. He is an Auckland Dental Association Welfare Officer, helping his colleagues in times of need. Victor is also an Auckland Dental Association Mentor, helping other dentists with the business and clinical aspects of dentistry. He is a Foundation Member of the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and serves on committees for New Zealand Dental Association Peer Review and the New Zealand Dental Council. He enjoys delivering high quality dentistry with a caring, personal approach to all his patients. Victor loves to relax with a game of tennis, is a keen skier, golfer and an avid All Blacks supporter watching as many matches as he can. He is married to Liz and has two children.

DR AMY WHITE

BDS Otago | Dentist

A highly skilled and professional dentist, Amy has a strong academic and hard-working background. She graduated from Otago University with first class honours and multiple prizes and scholarships. Amy previously worked as a Dental and Maxillofacial House Surgeon in Christchurch Hospital where she gained a great deal of surgical experience and knowledge. Following this, Amy joined the Avondale Dental team and loved it so much that she became a permanent part of the Practice as part owner in 2018. Amy enjoys the continual learning needed for dentistry, as well as the artistic and surgical hand skills, and helping people take control of their oral health. She is a highly skilled, gentle, and kind dentist.

JELENA KNEZEVIC-WILSON

BHSc Oral Health | Oral Health Therapist

Jelena is a dual qualified dental hygienist / therapist. While practicing at Avondale Dental the main focus of Jelena’s work has been to achieve excellent results from patients that have presented with gum issues. Jelena is skilled in sharing with patients on how to prevent oral disease to maintain a healthy mouth.

KIM PENNEY

BHSc Oral Health | Oral Health Therapist

With over 15 years of experience in the dental industry, Kim is an accomplished professional. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Oral Health from the Auckland University of Technology in 2010 and has worked in Avondale Dental since then. As an expert in her field, Kim is focused on educating her patients about proper oral care.

LISA BROWN

BHSc Oral Health | Oral Health Therapist

I have been working in the dental industry for around 10 years. With a background in dental assisting, I then went on to study at AUT & graduated with a bachelor of oral health in 2014. My experience as an oral health therapist ranges from dental therapy with children and adolescents through to managing complex periodontal cases in dental hygiene. I enjoy getting to know my patients and focus on painless treatment to achieve smiles that patients will be proud of.

SOHA HAMMAD

BHSc Oral Health | Oral Health Therapist

Soha has completed her degree in Bachelor of Health Science Majoring in Oral Health at Auckland University of Technology. She is a member of the New Zealand Dental Hygiene Association and actively looks forward to participating in seminars and conferences as part of continuing education in order to upgrade her skills. She seeks to provide comfort and pain-free dental services by her treatment.

SHANAE CANTELL

Dental Assistant

Shanae started working for Avondale Dental in 2010 as a dental assistant working for Tim Little. After her first year Shanae studied with the NZDA where she passed and achieved a certificate as a qualified dental assistant. She continues to learn many more skills with full encouragement from Tim Little.

NATASHA ROSE

Dental Assistant

I started working with Avondale Dental in March 2012 and work as a dental assistant for Victor Young. I love working with all the modern technology and meeting our great patients. I like to think that our great team make our patients feel that visiting the dentist can be a surprisingly pleasant experience.

RAJESHNI KUMAR

Dental Assistant

Rajeshni has been with Avondale Dental since 2002 and over that time has enjoyed a variety of roles including Charge Sterilising Nurse, Associate Assistant, and now Dental Assistant to Dr Amy White. She gained her dental qualification at The Fiji School of Medicine and a NZDA Qualification in Dental Assisting while working at Avondale Dental. Her many years of experience means that she can easily assist in any sort of procedure.

Although Rajeshni works full time with Dr Amy White she still loves helping out the rest of the team wherever she can to keep the clinic well organised and everyone happy.

JASMINA LUETICH

E4D Technician

Jasmina has been part of Avondale Dental team since 2004. For the first few years she assisted Victor Young as his dental assistant and is also a Certified NZ Dental Assistant.

When the practice purchased a state of the art CAD CAM Crown Design and Milling Centre she was put in charge of this. She is a certified technician of the E4D CAD CAM Crown design and one of the most experienced operators of this technology in New Zealand.

Jasmina has great satisfaction in seeing the high quality crowns that the E4D machine produces and the huge smiles that our patients walk out with.

SANDRA WATERFIELD

Administrator and Practice Manager

Sandra has been the Practice Manager at Avondale Dental since 2004. She has always loved the challenges that come along with the running a very busy practice and where all the staff enjoy working together as a team.

Getting to know many of our patients on a first name basis always makes Sandra’s day enjoyable when they arrive for their dental treatment.

SHARON FERNANDEZ

Receptionist and Practice Manager

Sharon started working in Avondale Dental in November 2018 after completing Post Graduate studies in Applied Business. She feels privileged to be given the opportunity to work with an amazing team of professionals and enjoys getting acquainted with patients and making sure they receive the best care possible. Her role has since evolved from patient administration to working alongside Sandra in running the Practice.

RHIANNON FISHER

Receptionist and Sterilising Administrator

Rhiannon began working at Avondale Dental as a sterilisation nurse in 2015. She has since developed her role and is now one of three receptionists. She also oversees the ongoing training of our sterilising staff. She enjoys meeting and getting to know the patients as well as working with a good team.

ANNA WILLIAMSON

Receptionist

Anna started with Avondale Dental in 2004 as a full time receptionist. She left in 2006 to start a family and when the opportunity arose to come back part time she jumped at the chance to work with this amazing team again.

CHELSEA EADY

Sterilising Nurse

Chelsea has worked at Avondale Dental since May 2018. She came in new to the dental industry and has since broadened her knowledge of sterilisation and dentistry. She feels very fortunate to work with professionals who support her in pursuit of upskilling in sterilisation as well as learning dental assisting.

REBECCA HEAD

Sterilising Nurse

Rebecca began working in Avondale Dental in 2019. She is excited to start a career in the dental industry and enjoys working in a challenging but rewarding environment with a supportive team of professionals. Rebecca looks forward to learning other skills in the practice.
